Nancy Owens - Singer/Actress/Teacher

Musical theater has been in Nancy's blood since childhood. Like the children she teaches now, she began taking youth classes and performed in summer musical productions from the age of 12 in her hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Formally trained in Music Education and Theater at Arkansas State University, she went on to further her education in New York City at Manhattan School of Music and individual acting studies at HB studios, TVI and the Actor's Studio. Commercial work includes: Subway, Arrowhead Mall, and Wendy's jingles/voiceovers. Her almost ten years of working as a professional singer and actress led to long runs with the Broadway and National Tours of both "Music Man" and "Phantom". Her credits, too numerous to list, include regional theaters all across the United States. Favorite roles include: Carlotta in "Phantom", Charlotte in "Little Night Music", Frau Kost in "Cabaret", Ms. Hannigan in "Annie", and Sister Amnesia in "Nunsense".

In recent years, Nancy has returned to working in education and spends her days with the students of Greenwich Kokusai Gakuen. She also continues to perform as a solo cabaret artist.
